Data Science & Analytics Experiences
-
I am Sr Director of Data Science in the Product Analytics & Experimentation organization at Expedia Group. I lead a global team of 45+ data scientists driving end-to-end analytics for Expedia Group’s B2C Traveler Product portfolio—including Home, App Growth, Landing Pages, Recommendations, Trip Planning, Packages, Activities, Transportation, Loyalty, and Communications—across major brands like Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo. Over the past three years, my team’s work contributed to 15%+ annual revenue growth, fueled by increased app installs, user engagement, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value through AI/ML-powered trip planning, platform migration, funnel optimization, and pricing and cross-sell strategies.
Since joining Expedia Group in 2014, I’ve grown through progressively senior data science management roles, combining technical depth with strategic leadership to deliver measurable business outcomes at scale. During this period, Expedia Group’s revenue has grown from $5.76B in 2014 to $13.69B in 2024.

From July 2019 to January 2024, I served as an Analytics Manager at Verizon Wireless (just over a year) and AT&T (3.5 years). In these roles, I led predictive modeling and customer behavior analytics to support marketing campaigns and churn prevention initiatives. My work focused on driving business impact by increasing up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, reducing churn and delinquency, and optimizing call center performance.

I published research papers and model validation reports for the Credit Risk Committee at Washington Mutual (that’s acquired by JP Morgan Chase in 2008), covering home loan portfolio performance, Bank’s Basel II compliance, comparisons across credit asset categories and underwriting criteria, and recommending risk mitigation strategies.
Effective risk management across credit score segments is critical to navigating financial crises and credit crunches. My insights underscored the importance of a rigorous credit approval process and maintaining sufficient liquidity to manage default risk.
